Hoop Shoot this year was a little different than past years, due to closings of area gyms, but as true Virginia Beach Elks, we were able to watch some free throws in the cold sunshine and social distance. We held the event at the home of Exalted Ruler Bonnie Shoemaker, PER and Paul Shoemaker, PSP, PDDGER. Levi Swenor, son of Karyn Swenor, PDDGER, and Eric Swenor, donated the use of his portable basketball hoop. Add some hot dogs and treats and a fun day was had for all the neighborhood children. Winners received trophy’s and a $25.00 Walmart gift card. Thanks to Cliff Bocchicchio for always doing a great job with the kids. MIGHTY 2268!! ...
